NOTICE: All draft functionality is disabled with max 6 because no longer supported by discreet.

Quick Start

1. Select the global preset "Quick Skylight Setup", and press the first button under the list to load the preset into the production slot.

2. Start a test-render using the production slot.

3. Select the partial preset "AA - Off" and assign it to the draft slot by pressing the 3rd button.

4. Activate the link engine by pressing the 2nd button.
The current draft setting will be highlighted blue.

5. Start a test-render using the draft slot. The result will be similar to the production render before, with the exception of AA (Anti-Aliasing), which is deactivated, as defined in the partial draft preset..

If you don't use the link button the production and draft settings are independent.

The Link Button Explained

When you press the Link Button following happens:

1. Loaded draft presets will not only be applied but also stored into memory (indicated with the blue highlight).

2. A callback function gets activated whenever you change settings in the production slot, manually or by loading a preset. This function clones the production settings to the draft slot and then applies the highlighted draft preset again.

This way you can render quick previews by using a partially degrading draft preset like "AA - Off" or "QMC Degrade".

Settings not defined in the draft preset will be synchronized to current production settings.

Global and partial presets

Global presets affect all settings.
Partial presets only affect selected settings.
There is no technical difference between both types of presets. If you create a new preset it will be global first.
To make it partial, edit it and remove all lines with settings you don't want to include in the preset.
