EXCLUDE SECTION
ArchiCAD Sun: Excludes the ArchiCAD default
sun from the import.
You should keep this option checked, since the default sun
simply is a spotlight placed very far away. This results is
a huge scene dimension, and confuses/slows down the renderer.
Better use a directional light to simulate the sun.
Default Camera: Excludes the default camera
(ArchiCAD 3d-Window position) from import.
Fog: Excludes the strange ArchiCAD environment
fog from import.
Background Colors: Excludes ArchiCAD's 3d-window
sky and ground color environment settings. Also excludes the
ambient light color.
CLEAN UP SECTION
Weld Overlapping Vertices: This
option cleans up the geometry. Always leave this on. There
is no knows disadvantage, as long as you keep the Threshold
reasonable. Keep the threshold under the smallest used dimension
in your scene. a value of 0.5mm is save. if you use 5mm, small
details, like window glass, might be affected.
Please check your system units, or better switch to user units
before tweaking the threshold.
SELECTION SET SECTION
Create Selection Set: This option creates
a named selection set of the imported objects. This way you
can easily delete all ArchiCAD objects later, to re-import
a modified scene.
OPTIONS SECTION
Object Names Prefix: Gives all objects of
the current import step a prefix. This is useful if you import
in multiple steps, to avoid the 'object name already in use'
pop-up window.
Zoom Extents: Zooms all viewports to extents
after import.
Launch Material Replacer after Import: With
material replacer you can quickly change or merge the poor
ArchiCAD materials into 3ds max materials. Automation presets
are supported.
